Iced Gemini

From just outside of Evansville, Indiana, Iced Gemini is a very diverse hiphop artist. Being born on the outskirts of Chesapeake, Virginia, and being raised all over western Kentucky, you can easily tell there are multiple influences in his music! With inspirations spanning from Tennessee hiphop from artists such as Haystak, Jelly Roll, Lil Wyte, and Muck Sticky. To fellow Kentucky artists such as Twang and Round, Brent Nelson Embry, Jerrod Doke, Bill Monroe, and many more. Iced Gemini also incorporates elements in some of his music from inspirations like Linkin Park, Slipknot, and Staind.

Iced Gemini’s life has been anything but peachy. From birth, with the doctors crushing his skull during delivery, hard times have always been around the door. Growing up by the Green River, Iced Gemini went through abuse of all kinds. As a way to adapt to his surroundings, he turned to becoming violent, and selling drugs to provide for himself and step siblings. This would result in constant run-ins with law enforcement, and leave him on probation for almost 9 years.

Being diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder, and Antisocial Personality Disorder, Iced Gemini is no stranger to mental health. From the age of 11 Iced Gemini has been consistently in and out of mental health facilities. He uses his vast understanding of mental health to drive most of his music.

At the age of 18 Iced Gemini would come to be married in a very toxic example. He often uses his music to vent about this topic, and was part of the reason he started recording music. This marriage would be short live though, which was for the best.

In 2015, Iced Gemini would enter the music scene as a battle rapper. During his time in the battle rap scene, he would gain recognition for his wordplay and multi-syllable rhyme schemes. In 2016 Iced Gemini would enter in the first One Take Contest held by Futuristic. While not placing highly in the competition, he would gain the attention of artist Psychoetry.

Quickly embracing their similarities in their sounds, Gemini and Psychoetry would form the group Nameless. After gaining some local recognition they would release The Rappers Nextdoor, and open for Lil Wyte in Evansville, Indiana.

The two would later form Rags 2 Rhymes Entertainment, while recruiting in Psych Infinity Beats (formerly Psych Chord Beats) as a producer for the label. Under the label Psychoetry would release World War P, and Enter The Madness. Iced Gemini spent most of his time with the label learning and practicing the art of engineering. But the label would come to collapse, after a misunderstanding between Psychoetry and Gemini.

Iced Gemini would then go on to continue his work as an audio engineer, while taking a break from recording and doing shows to spend time with his daughter, and current wife Jessica.

Iced Gemini and Psychoetry would patch up their relationship in 2020. Iced Gemini would return to recording with a feature on the song Carousel, on Psychoetry’s Sinner of the Universe album. Iced Gemini would then go on to release his first Neurodivergent Cypher. The Cyhper featured many artists Iced Gemini had befriended over the years including RaZoR and Smallz One of LSP, Playboy The Beast and Sleep Lyrical both formally of Murder Musick.

On June 1st 2021, Iced Gemini would go to release his first solo project, Neurodivergent The Album. This project would showcase the many sub-genres of Hip-hop that he was fluent in, along with starting a story that would span as a main theme in future projects.

On January 14th 2020, Iced Gemini would lose one of his closest family members, his cousin Jasmine Holland. This would lead to a long depression. In mid 2021 Gemini would have a suicide attempt. Whenever he would get out of the psychiatric hospital, he would start the next project, Depression Sessions, which was originally set to be a full album. As Gemini’s mental health would continue to deteriorate, he would end up scrapping most of the songs on the project, and release just 5 of them as a spin-off from the Neurodivergent series in mid 2022.

Immediately following Depression Sessions, Iced Gemini would start working on his next project, Fallen Rose. Gemini would go on to release Look At Me, and Drowning, both from the Fallen Rose album, in December of 2022, and March of 2023 respectively.

However, on June 4th of 2023 Iced Gemini would have another suicide attempt. While the project was almost complete, Gemini wanted to bring to light what he wad dealing with personally, and postponed the project release.

On February 9th 2024, Iced Gemini would finally release Fallen Rose. Fallen Rose would be set as an official continuation of the Neurodivergent Series, this time focusing on growth, not only as an artist, but as a person.

Less than a month later, Gemini would release Best To Ever Do It. This would serve as the first and only single for the upcoming Roots project. The project is touted as a country rap project, that continues the Neurodivergent series. The project is also completely produced by Jon Connor of War Horse Entertainment, who has been a staple producer in the sub-genre for years! The project has a projected release date in September of 2024.
