$chlick

$chlick was born in Spokane, Washington, and spent his early years moving between Tennessee and Kentucky before settling in Portland, Oregon, at the age of 13. It was in Portland that he spent the remainder of his teenage years. He began rapping at around 14 but had been deeply fascinated by music from a young age, growing up on influential artists like Brotha Lynch Hung, Geto Boyz, Yukmouth, Ganksta Nip, Dre Dog (Andre Nickatina), Three 6 Mafia, and ADR Lavey—an artist he would later become acquainted with.

At 15, $chlick joined a Sureño group called “Hillside 12th Street” and became part of an underground rap collective named “SouthSideSlick,” which included several prominent underground rappers. Although the collective disbanded in 2021, $chlick credits the group with giving him his start in music.

By 2023, $chlick was approached by Mike Wvtt$, who invited him to join “MEGVLITHIC RECXRDS,” a label inspired by Egyptian mythology and Memphis rap. Quickly rising through the ranks of the underground rap scene, $chlick collaborated with legends like Gangsta Pat, Na$ty Matt, DJ Killa C, and others, solidifying his place in the industry. His achievements earned him the role of Co-CEO of MEGVLITHIC RECXRDS alongside Mike Wvtt$, a position he continues to hold in 2024.
